This is a link the a short story called Nora. I really enjoyed this story. It had some humor in it which is something that for me is almost always a must. This might sound kind of stupid, but I really liked it because the first time I read it I really didn't understand what it was about. After going through it again I started to get a handle on what the author was trying to convey (which I won't say because I don't want to ruin it).

Kehinde Wiley Reaction
My reaction to Wiley's paintings is that he is almost mocking the seriousness of the original art. To do this, he is putting is own humorous twist on classical paintings. I think that this picture is a good example of this point. I mean what is funnier and more ridiculous than a man in modern day jeans and sweatshirt, riding a white horse as if he is a knight... not a alot.

Banksy Reflection
In response to Bansky's art, I am definitely a fan! I especially like the one with the dove in a bullet proof vest. In this picture, I think he is describing the hypocrisy of going to war with the hope that it will bring peace. I agree with him 100 percent on this. I mean, one of the first lessons we are taught as children is "two wrongs don't make a right." Also, I think that those who say that graffiti isn't art, are simply ignorant. However, I do not think it is right to use it as a way to deface property. In my opinion, it should be used to say something more than simply "Fu**". The decision to put one's art in public should be completely up to the artist, but but each person it will be different.

Jason Mraz
Jason Mraz has been my favorite artist for many years now. Whenever I become "obsessed" with someone new, I always find myself going back to his music when the new fad cools off. The main thing that I like about him is that I have listened to his songs many, many times and every time I pick up something different. There is always new imagery to interpret or new metaphors to decipher.
